Rachel is a nonprofit strategist, leadership facilitator, and organizational effectiveness advisor. She is motivated by a simple but urgent question: how can organizations in the social impact space stay thoughtful, courageous, and effective as the world around them becomes more volatile, complex, and demanding? At a time when nonprofits are navigating funding pressure, rising expectations, leadership strain, and constant change, Rachel is driven by a desire to contribute to positive transformation, not just organizational survival.

Her work is rooted in the belief that strategy and leadership matter most when they help people make sense of change, respond with clarity, and act in ways that are both practical and principled. Over the course of her 25-year career, Rachel has learned from different systems, cultures, leadership traditions, and professional contexts, experiences that have shaped a grounded and expansive view of what organizations need in order to adapt well. This includes work with community-based organizations in East and West Africa, as well as leadership positions with Save the Children and World Vision, in Canada, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. She has chaired Canada-wide networks, including the Humanitarian Response Network of Canada, and advised boards and higher-education committees preparing the next generation of social impact professionals. She brings together senior leadership experience, systems thinking, and a deep appreciation for the relational side of change.

Through her consulting work, Rachel supports charities, nonprofits, foundations, and community-based organizations to navigate complexity with greater focus and alignment. This includes strategy development, change leadership, facilitation, and advisory support for organizations working through transition, growth, or external pressure. Her approach is both strategic and practical, helping leaders clarify direction while also attending to the realities of people, power, implementation, and organizational life.

A certified change manager and human-centered design specialist, Rachel is adept at translating complex organizational challenges into inclusive, co-designed solutions that drive measurable change. She brings specialized expertise in nonprofit strategy and organizational design, honed through executive programs at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and the University of Toronto, as well as advanced human-centered strategy design training from IDEO U.
